Yesterday, the Minister from KTAK (Kementerian Tenaga, Air dan Komunikasi), Dato' Shaziman Abu Mansor, officiated the nationwide launch of the Mobile Number Portabilty (MNP) service. The session was held in Putra World Trade Center and supported by all operators in Malaysia. Following the launch, Malaysian mobile subscribers can now move from one operator to the next without losing their current mobile number.
From this launch, it is expected that all mobile service operators to provide more competitive services and attractive packages into the market and customers will have the independence of choosing the service provider that provides the needed services and best pricing packages.
Today, all DiGi and Celcom had started their campaign for the potential subscribers to "port" into their networks.
